So this picture is very simple. I can almost guarentee the photographer took it because the background is gorgeous and it’s just an idealistic summer day. The reason I chose this picture for this week is because summer is on my mind! I can’t wait for it!!

This piece caught my eye not because of its political slur but because of the humor behind it. Just the talent of turning this already appropriated image into something humorfull is interesting. I first saw this image on shirt in the mall.

Oh god! This is terrible! Eww. That’s all I can say…Obama is not my favorite person in the world but this is just gross! This reminds me of some kind of “Left 4 Dead” or “Zombieland” poster. Yucky!

This picture is extremly graphic!!!! Obama and I don’t agree on a lot of issues, but I would never promote this picture. I guess the person that made this really felt strongly or did not care about what anyone thought. Or possibly both. This picture really just grosses me out in all honesty.. EW

To be honest I have had a rough week so I looked at this picture and it helped me keep going. This quote to me says that you can beat the things that stand in your way if you don’t stop trying. You can get past it just don’t give up. The reason I chose this picture was because of how calming and inviting it was to me. The cool colors help the tranquility of the quote flow. The waterflow shows that it beat the rock and is rushing into the massive body of water. Like it got past its problem and made it to the state of peace in which it so long desired.

This is an image I found on deviantart.com titled “Beauty and the Beast”
If you really think about it, which one is which? At first I figured the sunset was the beauty with all of its rich majestic colors, and the spider had to be the beast because of its creepy connotation to many people. But this image details the spider’s silhouette so nicely, it looks like a little piece of art. The spider is just sitting there on its web enjoying nature. How is that not beautiful? As for the horizon, it’s not a beast as in some terrifying creature, but rather beastly in size. The mountains overshadow anything in its path, despite its radiating beauty.
The artist was trying to illustrate how small and humble living creatures are. We are nothing compared to other parts of nature. Up close we seem so complex, but really we are just a little part of the big picture around us.

 W13:
This picture is gorgeous. You can look at the sunset and just take the background as an escape almost. Just looking at a horizon is gorgeous and carefree. The spider however does throw the picture off. You don’t expect to see that there. The spider to me is almost like a pest to the picture. It to me is saying that no matter how beautiful our life is at a moment there is always a bother. Always something that can cast away the most beautiful thing that we have in life. It all depends on if you let it get to you.

This picture is a picture I actually took myself. I was going from store to store asking for Make-a-Wish donations for my soroity and I can to a pet store. There is no way possible to walk into one and not want to play with the dogs, (well that is if you’re a dog owner like myself). I took pictures because the dogs looked so sweet. In this particular picture it’s a group of boxers who I couldn’t play with because they were so young. just looking at them made me all happy inside so I wanted to share my little experince. :)

“The greatest barrier to success is the fear of failure.”

elizabethchristian:

This is a quote by Sven Goran Eriksson. I think that this is true for all of us, but I can only speak for myself. I know many times that I have had the opportunity to do something or accomplish something great, but the fear of not being able to do it right has stopped me. I think if we all just put that fear aside and try things than we will be more successful and in the process be learning so much. If you don’t do it right the first time then at least now you know what not to do.

 W10:

I completly agree with this quote 100%. If no one was scared about failure, and not fully being able to accomplish what they really set out to do. We as an entire world would be so much more high tech and ready for what future generations to come. People need to always strive for everything at all times ever if their scared, because it has to happen in order for us to progress
